Mostly, they catch it from each other. They gather in very large groups. With that much close contact, any disease would spread very fast amoung them. One bat could easily transmit the disease to dozens of others.
Aside from each other, probably from inadvertant contact with other animals. The so-called “vampire” bats **** blood from cattle which can carry the disease. Sometimes, coming close to the ground, a bat may inadvertantly have contact with another animal.

It is most likely that bats catch rabies virus from wild carnivores hiding with them in the same caves. That may be by inhalation. Among them it may spread by direct contact due to huddling. Vampire bats are blood succors they may also acquire infection from infected animals.
