I would prolly just call and exterminator because bats can carry diseases like rabies… Or if you want you could use a sheet tied between two broomsticks like in Black Sheep.

open a window and close the door in the room and shoo them out. simple. or you can folow my friends footsteps and hit them with shovels.

Go down to the senior center and get two old guys to take them on a date.

Well if its at night and they are fling around in house,if they are in the same room or separate rooms close door let them fly out windows or door to outside the close right away.
Daytime when they are sleeping try to scoop them into a container with a cover and let them outside.

She *must* call animal control or an exterminator asap. Most cases of rabies are from bats and you don’t always feel the bite. I’d fear rabies more than the grandmother’s punishment. Besides, I bet the grandmother could get in trouble for ignoring an obvious risk.
