First out of my cats are vaccinated for rabies. 2 of my cats had a rabies vaccine for 3 years in 2007 so as not due for 2 years. My other cat is due for its vaccine on September 10 this year. It is the one that was chasing the block but I 'm not sure if he had real conatct with. One of those others (with 2 years to go for the rabies vaccine) has followed the basement too so I 'm the not sure if he had contact but I think it is just down below. Entirely happened so fast. I 'm just not sure how effective the vaccine is anger in cats and if all and need 3 to be vaccinated even once? Is there a threat when the vaccine is still current? Are 3 years of effective vaccines because the vaccines for 1 year?

what happened to the bat? you need it to know if it was infected. other wise it will be a guessing game and you will have to wait through the incubation period

The bat is not rabied, just confused. I have captured/released them, unless they r attacking u, ur pets, u need not worry.

If you’re living in Australia, you’re safe, as Australia doesn’t have rabies.
Anywhere else, though, I would take precautions, although I would check her over for any cuts or scratches that may be recent and treat accordingly.

Since your cat is soon due for her vaccine, take her to the vet to get the vaccine and ask these questions too. I believe your cats should be fine.

You need to call Animal Control. Anytime a bat gets into the house (here in the US) you need to call Animal Control. Bats are, unfortunately, the largest carrier of rabies. If Animal Control doesn’t take care of it, they will tell you who does. If you can get the bat contained WITHOUT touching it, do so. But don’t release it. It must be tested for rabies, because it doesn’t have to bite you to transmit the disease.
Call your vet in the morning and ask what they want you to do with the cat that is supposed to be vaccinated next month.
